Eldkvarn

Eldkvarn, built in 1805, was the name of a grand Grits mill in central Stockholm that burned in 1878. It was known as "the fire of the century". The location where Eldkvarn stood is today where Stockholm City Hall stands.
The mill was built in 1805 for Abraham Niclas Edelcrantz with a steam engine built by Samuel Owen. The mill continiued to function even after the fire until 1906.
