elc International School is an international school located in Selangor, Malaysia. The school follows the English curriculum.

elc international school was established in 1987, starting out as a small secondary school with only 5 students and 6 teachers, including the Principal. Its prior location was in Taman Tun, and the current is located in Sungai Buloh.
elc was registered as a Secondary School in May 1989, under the terms of the Education Act 1961, to prepare qualified children for the GCE 'O' Levels. In June 1992, elc added a Primary Division to the established Secondary Division after gaining permission.
The abbreviation elc actually means excellence, loyalty and commitment, and the motto of the school is "Learn to Aspire".
[edit] Subjects
Students from Year 3-8 takes a variety of subjects, including Maths, English, Combined Science, Art, History, Geography, C.P, ICT, Music and a choice between Malay, Chinese or French. Students in Year 9 has 2 extra subjects added to their timetable, Business Studies and D.T, while they drop Music.
When a student reaches Year 10, they pick their own subjects, usually eight or nine, inclusive of English and Maths. This is done in accordance with the 'O' level examinations final year students are required to sit for. Malaysian students are required to take Bahasa Melayu, the national language, as their second language. Available subjects include Pure Maths, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Chinese, French, Malay, Accounting, Business Studies, History, Geography, Art and Design Technology. As of 2007, the school changed the examination board to Cambridge from Edexcel, and Physical Education is now available as a GCE 'O'level course.

The current Principal is Mrs. Kaloo. Mr. D. Wilson is the current Head of Secondary School; Head of Discipline and Prefects as well as a member of the Senior Management Team. May Lee and Suraj Bulchand are the current Head Prefects.

elc upholds its disciplinary system strictly. The teachers and prefects usually punish the students by sending them to the Student Improvement Room (S.I.R) or clean up duty. Repeated offenders are spoken to by the Head Prefects or Mr. D Wilson. If a student continuously does not follow the rules, he or she will be suspended. If a student is suspended three times, he or she will be asked to leave the school.

elc is a constant supporter of many events held all around the world. The community have taken part in the 2007 Relay for Life Walk-athon, Cancer Awareness Week, 30 Hour Famine, Reading Week, the Terry Fox Run and many others. A keen supporter of Cancer Awareness Week, elc has raised over Rm 10,000 each year from the community to help research in finding cures for Cancer.
In 2008, elc's 10th year anniversary will be celebrated by holding a carnival hosted by the Parents Association.

elc is located in Sungai Buloh, with a main block for secondary students as well as a primary annexe and an infant annexe. Sports facilities include a sports field, half Olympic size swimming pool, a covered basketball court which can be converted into a badminton court, 2 Multi-Purpose Halls and a Volley ball court. Other facilities include 6 Laboratories, including a Physics lab, a Biology lab, a Chemistry lab, a DT lab and a cooking lab; 3 ICT labs, two located in the secondary building and one in the primary; two libraries; two art rooms, a music room, an Audio Visual Room and two activity rooms. There are also play areas and paddling pools available for younger students.
