[edit] Welcome!
Hi fellow Wikipedian, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :
Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: (~~~~). This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =) Mailer Diablo 05:21, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
The article Elsa Watson has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. .--Dakota ~ ° 08:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talulah Riley and The Summer House
Hey, i noticed your edits on TR's article. Do you have a source for TSH being a full feature. i got the impression it was a short (the first thing i heard about it, on the IMDb boards, said it was a short) and although i don't think the official site says, this link suggests it's a short. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jayne_Wisener.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jayne_Wisener.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Georgiana Darcy
As per Wikipedia:Notability (fiction), minor characters do not merit standalone articles. Therefore, I have recommended it for deletion. Clarityfiend 22:45, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello, just to let you know that Wikipedia articles shouldnt have Trivia section (see Wikipedia:Avoid trivia sections in articles). Any important facts should be merged into other sections. --Berks105 11:10, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sei Ashina
As "an image of a living person that merely shows what s/he looks like", the photo of Sei Ashina is not fair use in the context of her article. Please refer to WP:FU for more information. The addition violates Wikipedia policy, and I'm therefore reverting it, as in the past. Dekimasuよ! 06:18, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Esther_2005.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Esther_2005.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 00:05, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll try to do that tonight. Sorry that I didn't do it sooner! Elbeonore 03:37, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Amadeus (film)
Reverted the Amadeus page due to some "editor" trying to turn it into some bizarre, rambling essay. But I saw you made some additions that you might want to put back :).
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:I Know Who Killed Me.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:I Know Who Killed Me.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:07, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Stam on Vogue Nippon.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Stam on Vogue Nippon.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 17Drew 01:51, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Sei Ashina Silk.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sei Ashina Silk.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:29, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Twilight
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I redirected Twilight (2010 film) based on the notability guidelines for films. When a project is announced, it is not always fast-tracked to production. You can see a couple of notable examples with Spider-Man 4 and Jurassic Park IV. If Twilight enters actual production, a stand-alone article can be created. In the meantime, though, feel free to update about the film at its section at the novel's article. Let me know if you have any questions! —Erik (talk • contrib) - 22:25, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ironside: A Modern Faery's Tale
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ironside: A Modern Faery's Tale, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Ironside (novel). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 18:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] September 2007
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. — madman bum and angel 19:38, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Tom Stewart (actor)
A tag has been placed on Tom Stewart (actor), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Pigman 16:19, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jane Austen Handheld
Hi, I wanted to inform you that the notability guidelines for films stipulates that a stand-alone article for a film should be created when it enters production. This is because due to the nature of the film industry in which a project can stall before production begins and wind up in development hell. You can generally check to see if a film is in production by going to its IMDb listing and looking at the status, which should say Filming, Post-production, or Complete. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 23:05, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Emma Ferguson.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Emma Ferguson.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with no fair use rationale uploaded after May 4, 2006 which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
