Elbridge Gerry Spaulding (February 24, 1809May 5, 1897) was a nineteenth century politician and lawyer from New York.

Born in Summer Hill, New York, Spaulding completed preparatory studies, studied law, moved to Buffalo, New York in 1834 and was admitted to the bar in 1836, commencing practice in Batavia, New York. He was Mayor of Buffalo in 1847, was a member of the New York State Assembly in 1848 and was elected a Whig to the United States House of Representatives in 1848, serving from 1849 to 1851, not being a candidate for renomination in 1850. Spaulding was New York State Treasurer from 1854 to 1855 and was elected back to the House of Representatives as a Republican in 1858, serving again from 1859 to 1863, once again not being a candidate for renomination in 1862. Afterwards, he organized the Farmers & Mechanics' National Bank in Buffalo, New York in 1864. Spaulding died in Buffalo on May 5, 1897 and was interned in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
