Elbert H. Hubbard

Elbert Hamilton Hubbard (August 19, 1849 - June 4, 1912) was a U.S. Representative from Iowa, son of Asahel Wheeler Hubbard.
Born in Rushville, Indiana, Hubbard attended the public schools and was instructed by a private tutor. He was graduated from Yale College in 1872. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1874 and commenced practice in Sioux City, Iowa. He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1882. He served in the State senate 1900-1902.
Hubbard was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-ninth and to the three succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1905, until his death in Sioux City, Iowa, June 4, 1912. He was interred in Floyd Cemetery.
