I am afraid i fail to see the connection between this article and the category to which it is inserted - "Palestine". The Sameritans live in the state of israel and are part of its society, furthermore they are closer by religion and ethnicity to judaism than to islam. If the meaning of the category title "palestine" is to the geographical region, then its appropriate, but then the palestinian flag must be removed. ben —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.178.58.45 (talk) 15:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
It is true that about half the Samaritans live in the state of Israel and are to some extent part of its society, but the other half live in the territory under PA jurisdiction and are to some extent part of its society as well. This person lives in the latter territory and his predecessor, Saloum Cohen, was a member of the PLC. It is immaterial how close people have to be to Islam to be regarded as ethnic Palestinians since this includes some Palestinian Christians. If Palestine applies to a geographical region then at the very least it should apply to all areas under PA jurisdiction. We could get into some incredible arguments about flags.
