Elam Jay (born October 31, 1974 in Casablanca Morocco), is a North African singer-songwriter, composer, record producer, dancer, choreographer, performer, music video director and also entrepreneur. He has a voice that transcends continents, and a face that transcends all borders. His charismatic live performances and charming down-to-earth attitude, has taken over North Africa and the Middle East, like a desert storm. His business interest include Jam Productions and the franchise of Quintessentially for Morocco.

Born and raised until the age of 12 in Casablanca , Morocco Elam Jay was influenced by artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and the multitalented performers Michael Jackson and Prince. A singer and dancer for friends and family since the age of 4 , Elam drew his dreams very early. He moved with his family in Geneva, Switzerland, where beside studies he was giving dance classes, teaching also Michael Jackson's choreographies.

He start writing and composing his first album Free, signed later in France with the major Sony Music. After Free , Sony imposed on Elam to sing in French to better fit with the French market. Being uncomfortable with that, he soon moved to Los Angeles where he achieved perfectly the American language, culture and way to live.

But business opportunities brought him back to Morocco. He became major associate of the company named Platinium Music, who introduced the franchise of Universal Music Group in Morocco. Besides he kept working on his music. His No.1 recording, " Morena " revolutionised the Moroccan music and video scene. Elam Jay became the first Moroccan spokesman for the American brand, Coca Cola in Morocco, doing one of the biggest campaign in that region. He signed, with the major music company Alam elPhan, a leader in the Middle Eastern music world, and " Morena " became a huge hit all around the Arabic world and community. Signing with a very big telecom operator Wana (Telecommunications), for the 2007 marketing campaign, Elam Jay had an enormous success with the summer hit "Gnaouitone" in Morocco and abroad. Elam fusion African rhythms, gnawa , oriental vibes, R′n′B flavour and Dancehall, in a new and unique style that he baptised and named: Gnawitone Styla

As his music toppled charts in Cairo, Marrakech, Dubai, Casablanca, Beirut , Elam always kept his dream clear and focused: to make it worldwide with his music.

Currently Elam Jay is readying to release a new album out, with an original and unique material that reflects maturity, experience and the rich back-round and influences he has gathered over the years.
