Five Pillars of Wikipedia
Float around for awhile until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. There are also many great committees and groups that focus on particular jobs. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English and Wikipedia:Cleanup for sloppy articles. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy.
There are a few crucial points to keep in mind when editing. Be civil with users, strive to maintain a neutral point of view, verify your information, and show good etiquette like signing your comments with four tildes like this: ~~~~ If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page or ask the true experts at Wikipedia:Help desk. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 05:46, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your contribution to Kaworu Nagisa, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. I hope you can help us out! -- Scientizzle 22:16, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 2030 FIFA World Cup
An article you created, 2030 FIFA World Cup, has been nominated for deletion. Please read its deletion page for more information. -- dcclark (talk) 21:40, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- If you check the deletion page, and if you wish to delete the page, go ahead and enter {{db-author}} at the top of the page. That will let the page be deleted without the long consensus process. -- dcclark (talk) 22:14, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chiharu Miyama
Hi, El Chompiras. Thanks for the message. I've been saving articles in the field of Japanese erotic cinema which are marked for deletion because I am preparing/revising a large list of Japanese AV actresses. I think the information from these articles will be useful in that project. I wasn't aware of the Shinobu Ayukawa and Erika Nagai articles existing and being deleted, but will see if I can reconstruct them in my userspace. I voted to delete the article on Chiharu Miyama because I could not find evidence for her notability beyond the one DVD, and no one else presented any. You are certainly correct that the language barrier creates difficulties in establishing notability and verifiability for many of these actresses. I've tried to work on this problem whenever possible. Even worse, I find it very difficult to find information on actresses I know were very popular and notable 10 or 20 years ago or more. I plan to start saving my work on this project in my userspace soon, before I start putting it out to Wikipedia. Feel free to contact me at my talk-page anytime. Dekkappai 18:53, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, El Chompiras. I've reconstructed (and edited a little) the Erika Nagai article. From the information in the article, it seems surprising to me that it was deleted. She seems to have quite a bit of notability and a large fan-base. I'll try working on the article and see if we can get it back on Wikipedia. Also, I think I've activated my E-mail, so feel free to contact me that way also. Dekkappai 22:47, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again, El Chompiras. That's very strange that the Erika Nagai article vanished and then returned. I've seen that happen to articles on other Japanese models also. I'll work on that article as soon as I get a chance. I didn't send you an email, but set up the email function on my user page. You can email me from there, or through the hotmail account (I have just re-activated that account). The MSN club seems to be in a dormant state. Regards. Dekkappai 19:46, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

- I don't get it, what is wrong with it? It is not promotion nor spam, it is a board related to the person from the article. El Chompiras 22:30, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

- "'Nuff said." geez that is such a smart response. Why don't you just delete the whole article while you are at it? El Chompiras 10:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
