[edit] Comment

(I'm offering the following for comment and discussion. As a young archeology student, I was shown a site on top of a nearby hill (El Quartelejo rests in a rather narrow valley close to a stream) that was supposed to have been the ruin of a small kiva. In the 1960's or 1970's there was a magazine article in some Denver or Colorado publication that mentioned not only a kiva, but also another site, many miles away, where once stood a pueblo, supposedly of larger size. My career never took me back to the plains of Kansas, but I just saw an article on "Unexpected Features of Western Kansas" and it brought back these thoughts. I may have photographs, if I can find them, of the tumble of rocks identified to me by an instructor as the kiva. I will add those if I can find them.)

The preceeding comment was posted on the main page by Painterredbear on 29 October 2007. I moved it to the discussion page where it seems more appropriate. StudierMalMarburg (talk) 21:54, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
