I attended ECHS for my junior year, 1968-69. Recently I was very suprised by an aerial photograph found on Mapquest showing the entire (!) campus area had been leveled. I have found little on the web concerning this rather major event. I have made brief mention of this event in the article and I would appreciate it if any one else would "fill in the blanks", so to speak. I enjoyed my year there and I had lost touch with things. The reconstruction began in 2005, partially for earthquake safety reasons I believe. I graduated that year, so I don't know many of the details, but I think it won't be completed until at least 2010.

Thanks. From what I've been able to find on the web, there were concerns mostly about the general run-down condition of the place. What I remember (nearly 40 years ago) were the hodge-podge of out buildings. I had history "here", english over "there", gym and then back to chemistry "there", etc. I did alot of walking! can somebody get us pics of both the old building before its demolishment, and that of the new one?

Try this link, *Site devoted to history and future of the school. It might be down, I just looked. Anyway, it had a nice aerial view of the campus from around 1971 (I still remember most of those buildings after 40 years) and some nice architectual drawings of the proposed rebuild.--Phyllis1753 (talk) 19:33, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

That link no longer exists.--Phyllis1753 (talk) 18:49, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
