El Tag
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El Tag is a World War I-style fort built by Italians during the mid-1930s at Kufra Oasis. Although some guns were stationed at the fort, its battlements were out of date and of little use in the mobile warfare of World War II when the fort and town of Kufra was taken by Free French forces and the Long Range Desert Group.
