El Shaddai International Christian Centre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El Shaddai International Christian Centre is a group of churches led by Dr Ramson Mumba and his wife Linda Mumba [1].
They started their first church in 1998 in Bingley, West Yorkshire, which met at Bingley Grammar School, and then moved to Bradford in 2000, experiencing considerable growth.
In 2004, the Mumbas moved to London to plant a church, and churches have also been started in Manchester, Birmingham, and Lusaka, Zambia.
In early 2007, the London church purchased the Golders Green Hippodrome for £5,000,000 [2] [3].
The Mumbas consider themselves as spiritual children of Creflo Dollar, and affiliated with his organisation in 2002. The church is also a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
Ramson Mumba was described as "chic and trendy" by Jonathan Oloyede in an article on the black church in Christianity Magazine [4].
