The City of El Salvador (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa El Salvador; Tagalog: Lungsod ng El Salvador) is a city in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 34,650 people in 7,290 households.

It is located in the province of Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao. It is bordered by the municipality of Alubijid to the west and Opol to the east and south. On the north lies Macajalar Bay in the Bohol Sea.
El Salvador is politically subdivided into 15 barangays.

The city does not have air and sea transportation facilities. Cagayan de Oro City, is the main entry point to Misamis Oriental Province and Northern Mindanao. From there, one would then take bus or provincial jeepney from the Bulua-Westbound Bus and Jeepney Terminal.

El Salvador hosts several plants and factories west of Misamis Oriental. These are Asia Brewery, Tanduay Rhum, Virgin Cola Bottling Plant (Visayas and Mindanao region distributor), The Aoso, Zest-O Corporation, WL Foods Corporation, Universal Robina Corporation, Timber Industries of the Philippines, Inc. (TIPI) and Union Plywood Corporation.

The ongoing construction of the Divine Mercy Shrine located in the Divine Mercy Hills has a 50 foot statue and meditation chapel of the Image of Divine Mercy. It shall serve as a pilgrimage site for the Divine Mercy devoutees.
