El Gráfico
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El Gráfico is an Argentine football magazine published since 1919.
[edit] History
El Gráfico was founded on May 30, 1919. It originally focussed exclusively on sport, but since the 1950s it has included other news. It was published weekly until 2002, when it was made monthly.
The magazine was founded as an attempt to define creole style football as opposed to the British style of football that had been introduced to Argentina in the late 19th Century.
[edit] Content
The magazine concentrated on football as an absolute priority, but also included news about other sports including athletics, rugby, tennis, boxing, basketball, motor racing and women's field hockey.
