El Dorado High School is a public high school in Placerville, California, United States. One of six high schools in the El Dorado Union High School District, EDHS is a California Distinguished School[3].

College-bound students can begin earning college credits from California State University, Sacramento through an Accelerated College Entrance program held on campus. The school also offers three career academy programs to students in grades 10-12: the Automotive Academy and Construction Academy programs, offered through a joint agreement with Cosumnes River College, and the Health Academy at El Dorado High.

El Dorado High School fields athletic teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track & field, volleyball, ski & snowboard racing, and wrestling in the Sac-Joaquin Section of the California Interscholastic Federation.

The school is known for its excellent ski and snowboard team, both teams winning numerous league and state championships. With 24 league titles in the past 27 years, the ski/snowboard team is one of the most dominant high school sports programs in the country over the last 3 decades.

Apart from skiing/snowboarding, the school holds twelve team championships, including eight girls' volleyball titles (1983-1986, 1991, 1996, 1998 and 1999).[4]
