Eksara is a census town in Howrah district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India census[1], Eksara had a population of 6485. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Eksara has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 64%. In Eksara, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
