Ekmek kadayıfı
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Turkish dessert from Afyonkarahisar,Turkey. Commonly mistaken with an Arabic origin dessert Kanafeh/Kadayif because of its second word. It is totally a different desert.
- Ekmek means Bread in Turkish.
- "Ekmek kadayıfı" is soft like bread and full of syrup like Kadayif, probably that is why the name is derived as it is.
- In Greece, it is also widely known and called just "Ekmek/Εκμεκ".
