Welcome to my page, let's talk!
Sumitkumar kataria (talk) 05:28, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Sad that you think that way, I come to wikipedia, not to learn about Hindi language or literature, but what Hindi language and its literature deem to teach or express. Getting stuck in spellings and syntax seems like your world, so I'd leave you to that, and that is why I am vary of proponents of any litertaure, language or even culture. I am interested in the humanity expressed in the literature of a language, not a language per se. (Ekabhishek (talk) 05:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC))
[edit]
Sumitkumar kataria (talk) 04:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jaimini and his works
{{helpme}} Somehow the biography page Jaimini is a redirect from Purva Mimamsa Sutras which was one of his works. Now I want to create a separate article of the text. If you can remove redirect, do tell me how you did it. Thanks.
- Click on the wiki link to Purva Mimamsa Sutras. At the top of the resultant page, there's a "(Redirected from Mimamsa Sutras)". Click on the link to Purva Mimamsa Sutras there. Happy editing. KTC 07:41, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Haridwar
Hello. I was copyediting the Haridwar article today, and I noticed the "Places of Interest" section. I'm thinking that this section seems a bit like advertising to me, but I'm not completely positive as I'm not an expert on this subject. I saw that you have made many edits to it, so I wanted to hear your input. *Cremepuff222* 14:40, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Naseem
I want to create a page for the National Film Award winning film Naseem, but it is marked for a UK sportsperson, how to demarcate it differently.
- You would then need to create a disambiguation page. There is tons of information about that here. If you have any other questions, please leave them on my talk page or re add the {{helpme}} tag. - Rjd0060 15:24, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) You could create the article at Naseem (film). It may be appropriate at some point in the near future to make a disambiguation page for all the "Naseem"s we have articles on at Naseem (disambiguation), but that'll require a bit of work. I may try to do it later today if I find time. Anyway, you can check Wikipedia:Disambiguation for more information on this. Hersfold (t/a/c) 15:26, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- Just so you're aware, I've created the disambiguation page, at Naseem (disambiguation). It's already got a link to Naseem (film), so everything's set up for your article. Good luck with it! Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:59, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks a ton! :) How about creating an article on Social political films of Indian Cinema, we have a long list starting with Neecha Nagar (1941), Dharti Ke Lal, Do Bigha Zamin, Garam Hawa, Naseem...films by Bimal Roy, Chetan Anand, or KA Abbas..Any sugesstions? Ekabhishek 13:33, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

NO PROBLEM ""The said article, Sharad Joshi (agriculturist) was only created as someone was 'vandalising' the main article, Sharad Joshi, the noted author's article, with the same info, If in case, it has copywright issues, go ahead delete it by all means. Make sure to leave a note there, to avoid future vandalising."(Ekabhishek (talk) 03:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)) To avoid such hassles in future, do check with the author.
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Party.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Party.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

GUESS WHAT? I was wondering about this for a while, tried understanding too, but the language seems too official to understand as of now...I am trying to work on it....Can you give an example of sorts, to help me understand better. [edit] Speedy Delete
A tag has been placed on Aakrosh (1980 film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please do not remove the speedy delete tag. Follow the instructions on the tag if you wish to dispute. will381796 (talk) 18:01, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
NOW CHECK!Aakrosh (1980 film) (Ekabhishek (talk) 18:50, 9 December 2007 (UTC)) Thank God some sensible administrator stepped in and corrected your overzealous vigillantism. Take it easy. (Ekabhishek (talk) 03:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC))
- I'm not attacking your article or being a vigilante. I patrol the newly created articles becase many...MANY...articles are created which are either inappropriate or unsuitable for WP. Cite your sources and assert notability and there will be no problem with your article. Primarily, cite sources for each of the awards that you claim the film won. Winning these awards would make this film notable. will381796 (talk) 04:02, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copy-and-paste move
Hey. Just wanted to let you know that the best way to move or rename a page is to click the move tab at the top of the page. Copying-and-pasting the page breaks up the edit history, something that is required in order to comply with the GFDL. I've gone ahead and fixed it for you. Oh, one other thing: if you can't move the page, you can always leave a note at WP:Requested moves to get it done. Cheers, WODUP 07:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, thanks! :) (Ekabhishek (talk) 07:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC))
[edit] Hindustan (disambiguation)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hindustan (disambiguation), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006022816459. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 10:32, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Bot confused, I have only created a disambiguation page, not written new text. text at yahoo answers, seems copied from somewhere else, if not an older version of this article. tag removed (Ekabhishek (talk) 10:48, 1 May 2008 (UTC))

[edit] Hindi template
Can you tell me why you added Pahari languages, Angika, Magahi, etc. to the Hindi template when they have nothing to do with Hindi? Maquahuitltalk! 15:17, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Just as other languages in the template, these too are dialects of Hindi, and thus need to be mentioned collectively in the template, also refer to the lead article of the template, Hindi languages. (Ekabhishek (talk) 17:07, 15 May 2008 (UTC))
- They are not dialects of Hindi. They are not even in the same Indo-Aryan group as Hindi. Maquahuitltalk! 16:11, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Pl. refer to the lead article: Hindi languages, I am only using that as a reference, and the Category:Dialects of Hindi. (Ekabhishek (talk) 03:11, 17 May 2008 (UTC))
-
- Yes, look at that article under the heading "dialects". And about the category, well that category after a discussion on some talk page by Dbachmann or perhaps someone else. After that, Faizhaider again created it. Maquahuitltalk! 06:41, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Categorization hierarchy
Please avoid redundant categorization, as e.g. here and in many others of your edits. Thus, Category:Brahmanas is already in Category:Sanskrit literature, via Category:Sanskrit texts, and there is no need to add Category:Sanskrit literature to an article already in Category:Brahmanas, or Category:Vedas etc. All this achieves is creating a messy tangle of category hierarchies. Thanks, --dab (𒁳) 15:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] St. Peter's alumni ???
Hi. I think you might find this odd but I thought its better to drop a word to you rather than remain curious for ever. I have updated the article on St. Peter's College, Agra for a while. I was just browsing today its history when I found that you have made more than a couple of contributions too to the article. Was wondering you are an alumni of the College as well. Haven't found many who hail from SPC. Btw, some really nice thoughts on your user page. Tarun2k (talk) 10:46, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, I was just passing through, and added something....though am glad you stopped over to connect! (Ekabhishek (talk) 12:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC))
