Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder is a German song. It is well known in Germany and many Germans can sing the lyrics, and can sometimes be sung as a drinking song. The song is repeated over and over, each time the song is sung quicker, and higher, until performers can't sing anymore.
Bommerlunder itself is a kind of Schnapps, popular in Northern Germany.
[edit] Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder in pop-culture
A very famous German punk band, Die Toten Hosen, played a notable version of the song, which was recorded live, and put on one of their live albums. In 1983, Fab Five Freddy produced a Hip Hop version of "Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder" called "Hip Hop Bommi Bop" together with Die Toten Hosen. The single was released with a tiny bottle of Bommerlunder included in the packaging.
