Founded in August of 2005, MusicMarker, Ltd. was started in the United Kingdom with staff in Germany, USA, and Brazil. MusicMarker, Ltd. is the provider of the music recognition service: MUSICMARKER. The technology currently has a patent pending.
MUSICMARKER, as a feature, is a music recognition system that can be integrated into portable media players. When the user hears a song and wants to know what it’s called, MusicMarker provides a system for the user to do so. They push a button while the song is playing which records a short audio clip. Then, after syncing the device, the software uploads the clips to the server which recognizes the song online and links to various music stores. The database contains over 5,000,000 songs and is updated weekly.
Venzero, Ltd. has been the first company to integrate the MusicMarker feature into most of its portable media players.
The MUSICMARKER now is worldwide the first stand alone portable device providing the MusicMarker or a comparable service. The MUSICMARKER NOW can save up to 10 song clips between syncs.
