[edit] Summary

[edit] Work

Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Description: Papageno's aria Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen from The Magic Flute (Recorded live at Princeton University's 2007 Annual Physics Department Recital production and in private session preceding)
Edition: We read the piano reduction from G. Schirmer Opera Anthology: Arias for Baritone, Robert L. Larsen ed., G. Schirmer, Inc., New York, NY: 1991. It is identical to the reduction in CD Sheet Music except for a single missing note in the CD Sheet Music copy, which looks strongly like an engraving error in the CD edition. The CD Sheet Music editions are out-of-copyright editions, so the copyright on the intellectual content of the piano reduction, divorced of its typographical formatting, is expired.

[edit] Performers

  • David Liao, baritone (Wikimedia user: Magneticcarpet)
  • Mira Guo, piano

[edit] Location

Taplin Auditorium, Fine Hall, Princeton University Princeton, NJ

[edit] Date

2007 April 18 and 2007 April 21
