Eilert Ekwall

Eilert Ekwall (8 January 1877–23 November 1964) was a Swede who was Professor of English at Lund University from 1909 to 1942. He studied the toponymy of England, and wrote English River Names (1928) and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of English Place-Names (1936).
