Eikefjord

Eikefjord is a village and former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway.
The municipality was by a split from Kinn on 1 January 1923, at which time Eikefjord had a population of 929.
- On 1 January 1964 Eikefjord was merged with Kinn, Florø and parts of Bru, Vevring and Bremanger to form the new municipality Flora. Prior to the merger Eikefjord had 919 inhabitants [1].
- The Eikefjord district has a population of 1,273.
- On 1 January 2001 Eikefjord center had 322 inhabitants. The merger Eikefjord had exactly 1000 inhabitants (Eikefjord 322, Tonheim/Grov 100, Sunnarvik 88, Hovland 192, Svardal/Steindalen 55, Langedal/Ramsdal 117, Endestad/Løkkebø 126).
