Eigil of Fulda

Eigil (c.750-822) was the fourth abbot of Fulda. He was the nephew and biographer of the first abbot Saint Sturm. His predecessor Ratgar as abbot was deposed, with Eigil taking over 817-8[1]. His successor Hrabanus Maurus was one of his pupils.

He is a Catholic saint.
