Ehud Bleiberg

Entertainment industry veteran Ehud Bleiberg launched Los Angeles based production and international sales company Bleiberg Entertainment in September 2005. The company develops, funds, produces and sells a diverse array of feature films geared toward both the theatrical, DVD and TV markets. The company is currently in pre-production on a number of projects including; the Holocaust drama "Adam Resurrected", which is being directed by Paul Schrader, and the horror comedy "Dance of the Dead", to be directed by Gregg Bishop. Also coming up is a sequel to Bleiberg's 2003 hit "Monster Man" and Danny Lerner's sophomore project, the action thriller "Kirot".
Most recently, Bleiberg recently completed “The Band’s Visit”, a co-production with July August Productions, that is an official selection (Un Certain Regard) at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. Last year, Bleiberg produced the family drama "Love & Dance" and the recently-completed espionage documentary "The Champagne Spy. . He also served as executive producer on the critically-lauded "Frozen Days". Prior to launching Bleiberg Entertainment, Ehud Bleiberg served for 12 years as Chairman & CEO of Dream Entertainment, an international production, distribution and sales company he co-founded in 1993.
Bleiberg's producing credits over the last 20 years include; the upcoming stop motion action spoof "Disaster! The Movie"; "Monster Man", a slick tongue-in-cheek horror film, which was co-produced with Lionsgate and sold successfully all over the world; the hit film "100 Girls", which won the 2001 Video Premiere Award for Best Picture and was released in the US by Lionsgate; "100 Women", the follow up to "100 Girls", starring staring Chad Donella, Jennifer Morrison; Erin Bartlett and Steve Monroe; the comedy "According to Spencer" starring Jesse Bradford, Mia Kirshner, David Krumholtz, Adam Goldberg and Giovanni Ribisi; "The Soft Kill", starring Carrie-Ann Moss; "More Dogs Than Bones", starring Whoopi Goldberg and Joe Montegna; "The Pass", starring William Forsythe and James LeGros, "Amnesia", starring Ally Sheedy; "Lover Girl", starring Kristy Swanson and "Baja", starring Molly Ringwald and Donal Logue.
Bleiberg's extensive management and creative background have allowed him to set up financing for previous productions, run all aspects of production, through to delivery of the films, and establish business relationships with talent, agents, and financial institutions worldwide.
A graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he majored in Economy and Political Science, Bleiberg managed advertising agencies, foreign news entities, and was a business developer before devoting his career to the entertainment industry. Before co-founding Dream in the U.S., Bleiberg produced feature films in Israel. His film "Himmo: King of Jerusalem" (1988) was highly acclaimed abroad and was an official selection in the Toronto, Chicago, and Edinburgh Film Festivals. His next film, "The Appointed" (1990), enjoyed even more success as an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival. This was followed by the hit film "Tel Aviv Stories" (1992) which was one of the year's most successful films in Israel and throughout Europe.
In addition to producing quality feature films, Bleiberg has established himself as a prominent figure in the domestic and foreign film and sales markets. He was recently elected to a fifth term on International Film & Television Alliance (IFTA's) Board of Directors, and now serves as Vice Chairman of Export Alliance for the association.[1]
