Talk:Egyptian astrology
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The reference to Rameses VI as Ozymandias is contradicted in the article Ozymandias where it refers to Rameses II as having this name on his statue's inscription. In the interest of consistency I'm taking the brackets reference to Ozy out in a couple of days unless anyone disagrees. Julia Rossi 11:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Date query
Ramesses VI date in the article was out so I replaced the corrected date: 1143 - 1136BC. Now I feel the pharoah is not the one connected to this claim about astrology. Amenotep III or his son Amenotep IV (aka Akhenaten) may suit the astrology interest profile but again the dates are earlier still. Do you really mean Ramesses II? perhaps. Confusing so I just corrected the date and removed the Ozymandias assert since it belongs to Ramesses II. Julia Rossi 00:02, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Attribution query
Nechepsos is reportedly an obscure pharoah reigning only six years, in the late 600's bc and the priest Petosiris is from the 450's so this attribution, ie horoscopic astrology, needs verifying. Cheers Julia Rossi 10:23, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Releasing Virgo
I've released the point made about Virgo in the embedded comment "Commented b/c Nidaba was not an Egyptian goddess. Her WP article says she was Sumerian." It's interesting and a bit lost there but don't know who contributed. Julia Rossi (talk) 07:26, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
