Triliteral Egyptian hieroglyphs are symbols which represent a specific sequence of three consonants in the language. In the written Egyptian language, three types of hieroglyphs existed: those that represented one consonant (called uniliteral), those that represented two consonants (called billteral) and those that represented three consonants (triliteral).
