Egypt Lake-Leto is a census-designated place and an unincorporated census area in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 32,782 at the 2000 census. The area is located just north of Tampa International Airport.

Egypt Lake-Leto is located at 28°0′55″N, 82°30′26″W (28.015396, -82.507311)[3]; or about 4.3 miles NW of Tampa. The elevation for the CDP is 45 feet above sea level.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 6.2 square miles (16.0 km²), of which, 6.0 square miles (15.5 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it (3.55%) is water.

Egypt Lake-Leto is a census area only and contains separate communities of Egypt Lake, Pine Crest Manor (Leto), and West Park Estates.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 32,782 people, 13,511 households, and 8,106 families residing in the census area. The population density was 5,491.7 people per square mile (2,120.1/km²). There were 14,526 housing units at an average density of 2,433.4/sq mi (939.5/km²). The racial makeup of the community was 76.10% White, 7.99% African American, 0.37% Native American, 3.39% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 8.13% from other races, and 3.98% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 45.80% of the population.

There were 13,511 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.1% were married couples living together, 14.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.0% were non-families. 30.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the census area, the population was spread out with 23.1% under the age of 18, 11.3% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.0 males.

The median income for a household in the census area was $35,403, and the median income for a family was $38,805. Males had a median income of $27,596 versus $24,720 for females. The per capita income for the community was $17,760. About 12.5% of families and 14.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 20.7% of those under age 18 and 12.7% of those age 65 or over.
