[edit] Crocodile Dreaming

Any chance discussion of the swamp can find its way into some sort of crocodile dreaming article? this would provide solid internal linking for the history section. Even if it only becomes a section of the local indiginous people article?Garrie 09:56, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

That's actually a brilliant idea. Next time I'm in the Battye (our state library) I'll get the cites I sent you and write up a *proper* Mooro article rather than the two-source stub I presently have, and incorporate it there. I actually would hope that we could get an urban Aboriginal article to GA status and this may be the impetus required. Orderinchaos78 11:32, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Failed "good article" nomination

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of February 13, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Well written, but incomplete paragraphs and excessive use of subsections creep in as you read on.
2. Factually accurate?: Excellent
3. Broad in coverage?: Pretty good, expand geography to include yearly climate & precipitation.
4. Neutral point of view?: Yes.
5. Article stability? Yes
6. Images?: GFDL for sure. However, the two images are very similar to an outsider. Use one of them only or try to find another image that isn't the same type of photograph. If a second image is used, consider removing px sizing and left placement of thumbnail to improve readability.

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. Thanks for your work so far. --Alan.ca 10:45, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

You've got ways to go yet. Whoever rated this article before me needs to stop being a soft marker! According to the criteria listed here, this article deserves a Start, and with a little more work, will get promoted to B. Then go for GA status. Auroranorth 11:56, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My review

  1. Need to fill out lead a bit
  2. Get more diverse pictures in (two that the article suggests are the beach or Pipidinny Swamp). Maybe put the Pipidinny Road picture next to the transport section?
  3. The information trails off in 2005, any more recent stuff?
  4. The Geography section should include some stuff now in the lead section

I also changed the Transport bit ... The timetable you have linked says "These Transperth services are proudly operated by Path Transit." Also when I checked on the main site the link had changed! It seems a bit weird that they keep out of date timetables online, they should divert the old filename to the new link.

Overall a very good article and I agree with the B grading given before but it needs work to get to GA. DanielT5 07:50, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
