Egalmoth is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. He appears in The Lord of the Rings as the eighteenth Ruling Steward of Gondor.

Egalmoth succeeded his cousin Ecthelion I. He was the grandson of Morwen, daughter of Belecthor I. Egalmoth was born in 2626 TA and became Steward in 2698.

Although no details are given, the attacks by the Corsairs of Umbar increased during his reign. Gondor also began to be troubled by Orcs on a large scale. Egalmoth received a plea from Deor of Rohan, who had learned that the Dunlendings controlled Isengard and wished the Steward to eject them, but Egalmoth was already troubled by Orcs from Mordor and could send no aid.

Egalmoth died in 2743 TA and was succeeded by his son Beren.
