[edit] Sock Puppets
{{helpme}} I just read about "Sock Puppets" in the help section. This is actually my second account--I created it awhile ago when I was very new to Wikipedia because I couldn't access my first account. It was a password problem--I couldn't remember the password and couldn't reset it because I didn't have an email address linked to the account. I couldn't figure out any way to fix the issue, so I thought my only choice was to start over. However, I later found a computer that had the password saved on it and so now I'm able at access that initial account again. Thus, I'm wondering if there's a way I could merge my two accounts (under my first one--I was helping w/ a project on that account that I'd like to continue contributing to whereas this account seems to be more about pop culture). I don't be accused of sock puppeteering! I couldn't find an answer on any of the help pages, so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks so much for your time. Efrafra 09:07, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- While sock puppets are generally not allowed WP:SOCK states several reasons why you might want two, however, the BEST thing to do, is to login to your first account, and redirect your User page to User:Efrafra, and the Talk page (if empty) to User talk:Efrafra, if the talk page has content, add a message to the top stating it is an archived page for an account not in use, and your current talk page can be found here. I believe this is the best solution you can get. Hope this helps, and if you have any other queries I've added your talk page to my watchlist --NigelJ talk 10:35, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ortiz article
Thank you - I've been praying for someone knowledgeable to write that for ages. Vizjim 17:31, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for writing the article on Ortiz. I had it on my list, but have been far too busy to get it done. JStripes 17:47, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nativewiki
Hi, have you visited http://www.nativewiki.org/Main_Page yet? All best, Vizjim 09:49, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Robert Mirabal
Hi, this is User:Bearian in my alter ego (legal sockpuppet). I've added a review, cites and a tag to this article. I agree, this guy is obviously notable and must not be deleted. However, an entire large section has few cites. Can you find some? I'll take a look later. Bearian'sBooties 16:58, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bruce Lee revisions
I just read your recent revisions to the article on Bruce Lee, and found most of them quite respectable. However, you took it upon yourself to alter some direct quotations as well. Do you have a copy of the book cited as their source to verify that what was there was inaccurate? If you do, then there's no problem at all, of course. Ted Watson 21:53, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
