[edit] Plagiarism

There is a lot of plagiarism on this page coming from the IMDB bio:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0686857/bio

I will leave article intact for a while if someone wants to revamp it or discuss. But eventually I will blow away the plagiarized parts. dq 19:33, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

It is hard to tell sometimes who plagiarized whom. Lots of sites now mirror Wikipedia. If you could list what sections you object to, I will indicate concur or non-cur. Ronbo76 20:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

If you read the bio on IMDB it's basically been hacked-up and put into this article. If it's a matter of establishing who wrote it first or if it was the same guy who wrote this article then I can send a message to Gary Brumburgh the author of the IMDB bio. Let me know if I should do this. It looks like the plagiarized content was added on May 22, 2006. And it's pretty much the entire article except for the first sentence (and the list of films) that has been plagiarized. dq 20:50, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

You seem to have done the homework on this issue. Chances are the anon IP lifted it from there. It would be nice to see a distillation or copyedit of the material. If you have the time to do that, it would be much appreciated. My plate is full at the moment for the next week to come. Ronbo76 20:55, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do. dq 20:58, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Done. A little belated, but it's done. Feel free to improve on it. dq 22:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Suicide

There seems to be a discrepancy in Platt's manner of death. The article was changed from an unexpected death to suicide, then back to an unexpected death. Can someone provide a better source for Platt's manner of death other than an IMDB article? dq 21:03, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

It say in the article Platt's son revealed a long held secret; what was it? GoodDay (talk) 19:07, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
