There seems to be some confusion regrarding L-Fs of NZ. Edward_John_Eyre is listed in his biography as being a L-G of NZ but he is listed by rulers.org as a L-G of New Munster a province of NZ. Which is actually the case? Abeorch 03:51, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

In theory Eyre was L-G of both New Munster and New Ulster in the absence of an L-G of the latter, but by Feb 14 1848 (seven months after Eyre's arrival in Wellington) Sir George Grey appointed a L-G of New Ulster. 203.173.27.124 06:07, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nullarbor crossing

The distances are too inaccurate even allowing for it to be generalised, 1000 miles(1600km) is way too short. The nullarbor is 1200km across albany --> eucla is another 1200 km. depending on the start point for the trip there could be another 1000 km on the SA side of the journey.
