Reading an old Sci.Am. article in Mathematical Games by M.Gardner on cellular automata (Feb 1971), I saw mentioned an important contribution by Moore on the topic, namely the proof of existence of "Garden of Eden" patterns. This proof is present in Essays on Cellular Automata" (Univ. of Illinois press, 1970, A.W.Burks ed.) Alexxx m 09:41, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Errors

I noticed that the same person who contributed to this article created the Homer Jacobson. Recently Jacobson has retracted some of his material stating that his errors have been misread by pseudoescientists.[1] So this article should be reviewed as well. TYie34 (talk) 05:19, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
