Edwin Holmes

Edwin Holmes (born maybe 1842,[1] – died 1919)[2][3] was an English astronomer.

He discovered the periodic comet 17P/Holmes on November 6, 1892, for which he was awarded the Donohoe Comet Medal of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
