Edwin Blackgaard

Edwin Blackgaard is a major character in the Christian-themed drama/comedy radio serial Adventures in Odyssey, voiced by Earl Boen (who also voices Edwin Blackgaard's identical-twin brother Dr. Regis Blackgaard).
Edwin, who first appeared in episode #203: "Double Trouble", was initially mistaken for his villainous twin brother, which brought him largely widespread rejection among the denizens of Odyssey (John Avery Whittaker befriended him, however). In time, Odysseyians learned to distinguish the two brothers, and accepted Edwin (though they have not patronized his "Harlequin Dinner Theater" as much as Edwin would like).
Edwin's history is unclear, except that he was trained as a Shakespearian actor and, apparently, was quite popular in roles before he moved to Odyssey. In Odyssey, he is torn between performing the Shakespearian plays he loves and performing the "crowd pleasers" that bring in enough money to keep his dinner theater afloat financially.
