Edward William J. Savage (born 15 November 1989) is an English actor who took over from Stuart Stevens to play the role of Steven Beale in EastEnders. Savage left EastEnders when his character was written out in 2002.
Savage was born in 1989 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. He has blue eyes and likes football and judo. His nickname is Eddie. In an interview, Adam Woodyatt, who plays Savage's on-screen stepfather Ian Beale and had recently got new glasses, said he loved working with Edward and Edward liked his glasses.
Savage now plays football for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club youth team alongside his older brother Andrew, and attends John Hampden Grammar School.
Eddie Savage, nicknamed 'Steven' after his role as Simon Wicks' son in Eastenders, picked up the Alan Henry Gillot Award for the Best First Year Apprentice, presented by Ian Culverhouse
