Edward Percival Peter (March 28, 1902 – September 1986) was a British swimmer and water polo player who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, 1924 Summer Olympics and 1928 Summer Olympics.

In the 1920 Olympics he won a bronze medal in the 4×200 m freestyle relay event and was fifth in his first heat of 400 m freestyle event and fifth in the semifinal of 1500 m freestyle event and did not advance in both occasions.

Four years later in Paris he was fifth in the 4×200 m freestyle relay event and third in the first round of 400 m freestyle event and did not advance.

Again four years later in Amsterdam he was sixth in the 4×200 m freestyle relay event. He was also a member of British water polo team, which lost to France in the third place match.
