Edward Lumb

Edward Lumb was a first class cricketer to played in 14 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1872 and 1886. He also appeared for North of England (1877), Gentlemen of the North (1877) and an England XI (1878) in first class games.
A right handed batsman, he scored 356 runs at 15.47 with a best of 70* against Middlesex CCC, his other fifty was another unbeaten innings of 60 against Surrey CCC. He took 7 catches in the field but did not bowl.
He was born on September 12, 1852, Dalton, Huddersfield and died on April 5, 1891 in Westminster, London aged just 38.
