Edward Lawson VC (11 April 1873 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England - 2 July 1955 Walker, Northumberland) was a recipient of the Victoria Cross.
He was a Private in the 1st Battalion, The Gordon Highlanders, British Army during the Tirah Campaign when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
On 20 October 1897, during the attack on the Dargai Heights, Tirah, India, Private Lawson carried a lieutenant of The Gordon Highlanders, who was severely wounded, out of a heavy fire. Subsequently, although wounded himself, he returned and brought in another casualty.
His Victoria Cross is displayed at the Gordon Highlanders Museum, Aberdeen, Scotland.
