Edward Francis Rimbault

Edward Francis Rimbault (1816 - 1876), English organist and author. Some of his historical musical anthologies were published by the Percy Society.

  • Co-founded the Musical Antiquarian Society in 1840.
  • Composed the refrain to O Happy Day, That Fixed My Choice (1854).
  • Co-authored The Organ: Its History and Construction (1855).
  • Authored Early English Organ Builders and Their Works (1865).
