Edward Carson, styled The Hon. Edward Carson often known as Ned, (17 February 1920 – 6 March 1987) was an English Conservative Party politician.
He was the youngest son of the Lord Carson (born when his father was 66), leader of the Ulster Unionist Party and Lord of Appeal in Ordinary. He was educated at Eton - as was his son (a barrister who lives in Henley-upon-Thames) and two of his grandsons. He was the progeny of his father's second marriage - the first having been terminated by bereavement.
He was Member of Parliament for Isle of Thanet from 1945 until he resigned from the House of Commons in 1953
