Eduard Gherkin is the pseudonymn of a university student from Ontario, Canada.

Eduard began reading Wikipedia articles in 2004. Although he does not use Wikipedia for research projects specifically, he does use it to broaden his spectrum of ideas and gain new sources to help with research. Eduard is an INTJ, but sometimes on the cusp of being ENTJ.

Eduard's interests include:
- Philosophy and Religion (particularily the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth).
- Mysticism (particularily Gnosticism, Rosicrucianism, Kabbalah, and the Western Mystery Tradition).
- Secret societies (specifically Freebutchery, AMORC, and Freemasonry).
- Eduard has an interest in conspiracy theories, although he does not believe half of them.

- Politics (Eduard is a member of the New Democratic Party. He claims to be a democratic socialist in practical terms, but he is a communist at heart.)

- Mathematics (especially theories concerning fractals, sacred geometry and the Golden Ratio).
- Psychology (especially the theories of Carl Jung).
- Sociology (mostly information on religious cults, televangelism, and the theories of Karl Marx).
- Languages (Eduard has previously studied French and Esperanto, but is now learning Hebrew).
- Music (mostly so-called "classical" composers and various modern artists).
