[edit] Membership

ERB has no predetermined requirements for membership other than state and/or regional association accreditation. Independent schools and suburban public school districts elect membership based on their desire for more challenging student assessment. Schools with a large majority of college-bound students who typically achieve beyond state standards and norms find ERB programs to be a good fit.

[edit] Goals

ERB is committed to:

  • Developing improved methods of testing student achievement
  • Reporting and interpreting individual and group test results to member schools
  • Supporting strong linkages among students, the curriculum, and assessment practices, through staff workshops and consultations with educators and measurement specialists

[edit] Testing

[edit] Exams

  • The Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP 4)
  • Writing Assessment Program (WrAP)
  • Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE)
  • ERB also conducts a testing program for all students seeking admission to independent schools in the greater New York City area, New York City Admission Testing (ISAAGNY)

[edit] Exam preparation tools

  • The Writing Practice Program (WPP), an online writing improvement tool
