I don't think the category "academics" should be a subcategory of "educators", since it contains not only educators but all kinds of people who are experts in their fields but not necessarily educators (scientists, etc). Instead, what about creating a category "educators by discipline"? J Lorraine 04:26, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Teachers

It seems Teachers should still be it's own category (subcat perhaps of educators). To be a teacher is a specific role under educators/education. While educators can include persons who do no teaching, but instead are mostly administrators. Pastorwayne 15:20, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

I had always thought of educators and teachers as being somewhat synonymous. Administrators are not, in my understanding, 'educators', regardless of whether or not they administrate in schools. J Lorraine 10:06, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
