[edit] Roadrunners

I did some cleansing and as of this writing the only errant linking to Edmonton Roadrunners (one word = wrong), is on this page. Should we request deletion or keep it as a redirect? ccwaters 20:39, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

May as well keep it, it's a natural mistake somebody might make (especially when one considers that the Toronto franchise was the Roadrunners). Lord Bob 17:37, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
On the other hand, if that article doesn't exist, then the person trying to link to the team will notice and *hopefully* do their research. Ex: I just saw Jesse Niinimäki was linking to the "misspelling". That contributor probably saw that everything looked fine and went on his way. ccwaters 18:21, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
Other way of putting it- A redirect assuming people are going to link to Edmonton Roadrunners is dealing with the symptoms, not the problem. ccwaters 23:24, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
Added a redirect explanation. I feel better now. ccwaters 23:36, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
I'm more worried about a guy typing 'Edmonton Roadrunners' in the search box and getting nothing than the ill-informed fellow doing a redlink. Pages linking to the redirect are quickly fixed just by zipping through 'What Links Here' every nineteen months or something. And, of course, there's always the possibility that somebody sees the redlink and writes an article on "teh roadrunnerz r grate!!! moss fr mvp!!!!", which is wrong on so many levels. [edit] Statistics

I am doubting that the team had 79 shootout losses, and a resulting 201 points when combined with their OTL and wins. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.153.212.128 (talk) 19:15, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
