[edit] The Placebo Effect

The Placebo Effect (talk contribs blocks protects deletions moves rights) Well, It's been about 6 months since I was first blessed with the tool of adminship. I would like to know not only how well I am using these tools, but also how my editing has been and in what ways i can improve and contribute to the encyclopedia better. • Since I'm another admin waiting to get feedback on my ER, I think I'll examine how you're doing. I think that you're doing a good job with your tools. I really liked the policy tutorial that you wrote in the Signpost. I think that you should really try your hand at article writing, considering the job you did. Why not join a Wikiproject, taskforce, or writing group (WP:LOC, WP:TSQUAD) to exercise these skills? Although the incident is old, I think that I put a great deal of trust in you after you turned yourself in for 3RR. I didn't agree with Jeske's block, since it would have just been plain punitive, but I trust that you tread more cautiously now.

Since you're an admin, I checked the first 500 entries in your log to make sure nothing was out of line.

CSD - Good. However, when the content is something like "JOE DAHL FUCKIN AWESOME," you probably want to blank that.
AFD - Very good with understanding consensus. Good call with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Church of Google (3rd nomination).
Protection - Generally good. I think that you should have waited longer on The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show, since it wasn't that bad, and protection had just expired. From your rationale, it also seemed that it was done preemptively.
Blocking - Generally good. However, you should place a block template on the blocked user's talk page. Try something like {{test5}}, {{test6}}, or {{block}}.

Altogether, I can confidently say that you are still a very trustworthy user whom I hope will continue to serve Wikipedia for a long time. bibliomaniac15 Do I have your trust? 00:17, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Overall, I haven't contributed anything that stands out as being the best or significantly contributing to the encyclopedia. What I feel particularly pleased about is The Tutorial about policies that I wrote for the signpost. I feel that this was a very concise summary of all the polices and that it can be a valuable resource when explaining polices to new users on Wikipedia.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Fortunately, since I have become an Admin, I have not run into any conflicts editing or stress caused by editing. If I run into any in the future, I plan on just keeping my cool and acting in the manner that allowed me to become an admin in the First Place.
