Nwwaew (talk ยท contribs) I reached a milestone of 250 edits recently, mostly reverting vandalism. I'd like to see what people think about what I've done on here. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 21:43, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Reviews

  • Hello, Nwwaew! I'll give this review a shot. (NOTE: You didn't specify if you want to be an administrator in the future, so I'll try to give advice that include more than just admin requirements.)
    • First, I noticed that your edit count is far higher than you said in your self-blurb-thing. You have 1387 edits, way more than the 250 you claimed you had. I suppose that's a good thing... :D.
    • Anyway, on to the review itself. While vandal fighting is a noble niche, there are a lot of people out there that believe that vandal fighting is mindless and doesn't require a whole lot of user input. (It's false, I know, but that's somebody else's opinion.) You will gain much more respect among the community if you maintain a few articles. Just pick a subject that you enjoy and keep the article up to date, formatted correctly, or make the article have a NPOV If you're looking for administrator status, here's another tip: people who vote in RfAs like it if you have adopted one or more articles and helped it considerably.
    • Next, a strictly administrator-ish tip: People in RfAs love XFDs. XFDs show knowledge of policy and show that you know how to formulate an argument, as well as show your ability of keeping a cool head when the editing gets hot. It also boosts your amount of project namespace edits. Which leads me into another note:
      • You have an excellent spread of project namespace edits. However, they are based mostly at WP:AIV. RfA people don't like that. The solution to that is to participate in more XFDs.
    • Now for a less admin-ish tip. I've seen you more than a couple times at AIV, where I am a frequent visitor myself, and the WDEFCON. Your edits have given me an excellent first impression, and your MEDCAB work shows that you're civil and calm when problems arise. Good work! I hope my review was helpful. Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
All of my reverts of vandalism. I don't like coming across a vandalized page while using Wikipedia to do research.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Well, there are those vandals from my own school who keep creating sock puppets and such to vandalize my user and talk pages. But I just laugh it off, report their usernames, and start reverting.
