Reviews
- Natl1, you are a good editor, and I really like your efforts in improving this encyclopedia and being involved in the Wikipedia namespace. However, I am not sure you should apply for adminship only next month. You currently have below 500 edits, while users usually require at least 2000 edits, which might sometimes get as high as 5000 edits. Please try to be more involved in WP:AfD, WP:RfA, WP:RfC, WP:HD, WP:VP and such to learn Wikipedia's policies better. I also suggest choosing an article on a subject you like and improve it as much as you can to good article status and even featured article status. Please keep improving in the above areas and apply for adminship in six months or so, I am sure you will succeed. Michaelas10 (Talk) 17:10, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

- Please see Image:SuccessRatevsEditsatRfA.png for how the number of edits affects your chances. (Basically, you need to have above 2000 before it stops being an issue.) In November 2006, only one user with less than 2000 edits was approved, and that person was already an admin at Wikinews. I strongly encourage you to wait until you have at least 2000 edits. - BanyanTree 14:20, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- The issue at hand on the RFA is not the edit count but the fact this user handling things too quickly, so in addition to time I'd add some patience. I supported the RFA, but you need patience. It's better to turn a vandal into a contributer and teach the user to make good edits then slap them with a block. This is why we have a problem with people making so many "sock" (throwaway) accounts. They feel they're blocked too impulsively and they end up trying to keep editing by force. The vandalism begins to show they're frustrated and it becomes game of cat and mouse between the admins and the vandal. We don't want it to escalate into a scenario like that. Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I was pleased when I accepted an AFC article, Dick Schaap Outstanding Writing Award, because it was one of my first edits and I felt that it was a major edit becaue it is an artice about a major award.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Not really, except for nominating Global Highway for deletion and as an unregestered user contacting the pages creator.
- Why did you remove my photo from PCI_Express_Mini_Card?
[edit] Hiding thoughts
I think you need to familiarise yourself with the speedy deletion tags a little more, and do a little more research before you tag articles as speedy candidates. Just my two pence. I seriously suggest you put off any thoughts of running for adminship until you have acquired more experience on Wikipedia, you need to have been here between four or six months to even stand a chance at passing. Also don't see a huge amount of posts to article talk pages, not a huge problem but suggests you don't engage in discussion, as does your low edits in the Wikipedia talk space. You need a lot more experience with how Wikipedia works before people will endorse you for adminship. Participate at one of the deletion processes and work on some articles, that will get you most of the experience you need. You already seem to be doing some vandal work. [edit] Tellyaddict's thoughts
This user, seems to be polite and a good candidate, however I think you should wait a few months for the adminship request as I've had a failed RFA before and it's best if iy goes right first time as I've learnt, good work. Tellyaddict 15:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
