Meaty Weenies (talk · contribs) Hi, I've been on wikipedia for 10 days now and I'm not sure if all of my work is up to scratch with that quality of work that Wikipedia expects or that you might do. I have started this editor review for myself, so that I can understand what to improve on in the future. Please be as critical as you want when reviewing me! Reviews

  • This one's going to be a little short 'n' sweet, because I'm still new to reviewing editors. As such, I'm going to leave the "asterisk" so someone can come along with a deeper dive. Based on a recent interaction I had with Meaty Weenies, I'd say that he's eager to learn and willing to accept constructive criticism. One thing I would suggest is to always remember to use edit summaries (set the preference to remind you to if you must). Constructive edit summaries, even short ones, are crucial to article building. xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 19:17, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! I've now changed my editing preferences, so it will prompt me every time I leave a blank edit summary. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 19:25, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
  • This user really should be considered for editor review. He helped me throughout my time hre at Wikipedia and helped me learn many new things on the website. I feel that he deserves it throughly. AtheWeatherman (talk) 21:57, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Andrew! "I feel that he deserves it throughly". What do I deserve? Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 00:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  • From the edits I have looked at you are really doing a good job - not simply editing text but using citation templates etc. Keep up the good work! One quick point though - you changed the template on Talk:Cullompton to make it start class. This is good and I was thinking about doing this myself. However, you didn't remove the stub template from the actual page thus making them inconsistent. I have fixed this, I'd just encourage you to change the page as well as the template on the talk page in future.--NHSavage (talk) 08:26, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for drawing this to my attentions! Now, as a result, I'm going to check all of the start class artticles to make sure they don't have stub templates on them. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 13:01, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Y Done The following start-class articles had stub templates: Ælfmær, Woody Bay railway station, Crockern Tor, Brunel Manor, Beautiful Days (festival), Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Colyton, Devon and Bovey Tracey. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 13:38, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Questions

1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?

  1. I did some referencing work on Ivybridge Community College in which I used the cite web template for all the 21 references. here's the before and after. I've done some work to The Inbetweeners especialy on the referencing side of things. So far I've written 3 paragraphs on 3 of the episodes with referencing; referenced the cast and infobox and got it protecting from IP vandalism by reporting it. I also made this userbox for people who attend Ivybridge Community College. Those are all the contributions, which stick out. There are many more minor ones I've done aswell! Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 12:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

  1. Something which caused me quite a bit of bother was the vandalism done to The Inbetweeners. Everyday all sorts of IPs would vandalise and I appeared to be the only one who noticed it. After it continued for several days I requested it for semi protection and it was given semi protection for 1 week, as a result. Now the vandalism has stopped and working on Wikipedia is a lot less stressful, however it will expire at 22:37, 27 May 2008. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 12:10, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

3. Hi. I've noted your extensive work on Plymouth and Ivybridge. Have you ever edited Wikipedia under another username or without logging in, as an IP address?  —SMALLJIM  16:49, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I am bsrboy or The Vandal Warrior. I have also logged out as numerous IPs as I have an dynamic IP. Meaty♠Weenies (talk) 19:06, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
